There are a myriad of canine behavioral or temperament/personality questionnaire, such as C-BARQ, MCPQR, DPQ, DMA, etc. These tests should be completed by either an owner or a well-trained expertise. In other words, people have to know the dog very well or have undergone solid behavioral training so as to give a reliable result. Has any of them or other assessment been proven to be reliably used in shelters or can be done by a person who do not know the dog very well?
