Hi. I'm a young attending physician in Neurocritical care. (Toulouse University Hospital, France)
We are working on finding the right way to ask our residents to evaluate/assess our performance (individually) as teachers at the end of their rotation.
We thought at providing an anonymous report form focused on large items, not too specific, using visual scales.
Do you have any experience regarding this topic?
How do you do it in your own department?
What issues have you faced?
How did you fix them?
We based our questionnaire on the Stanford Faculty Development Program for Clinical Teaching. Seems comprehensive.
Make sure to collect data on time on rotation, age of teacher/attending, and topic based, skull/head, elective vs trauma , spine, and tumor. If it was a difficult rotation lots of trauma vs easier like elective spine have to control for that
