Hi Shivaji,

What SECM system and mode are you using? The best way to achieve zero tip-to-substrate distance would be negative feedback approach curves. If your surface is insulating, then approach in the z-direction at a speed of 1-2 microns/sec. Assuming you have a good quality electrode, you will reach 0 current once your electrode touches the surface. Hope this helps!
