While phenotypic revolutions are unfalsifiable, a species delegating and automating its reproduction to its own unrelated creations(robots, AI, etc.) is unwise. Especially because everything is, on SOME level, conscious yet, coming to life results from the ability to reproduce(or at least the capacity to be cloned and or PARTIALLY regenerate cells (heal)).
