How should I go about selecting a research topic for my M.Tech dissertation?

I am pursuing my M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). I want to choose a dissertation topic that:

Matches my interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Has strong potential for research publication or academic growth
Is also relevant in the current job market and applicable to industry use-cases

I would appreciate guidance or suggestions on how to select such a topic — and if possible, provide a few AI-based or related topics that fulfill both research and job-oriented goals.

Objectives:

To find a topic that balances academic depth and industrial relevance

To ensure the topic can lead to practical implementations, prototypes, or real-world applications

To open opportunities for career growth in fields like AI, ML, Data Science, or related domains
