Dear researchers:

We are a group of research from mechanical engineering at Stanford, and we would like to coat 40 by 15 nm gold nanorod on top of our FexOy particle(~150nm). The gold nanorod are purchased from company with a concentration around 0.2 mg/mL. I have already tried to functionalize the FexOy with thiol group. However, the problem seems that clustering is extremely bad after iron oxide are functionalized with thiol group, and all of particles tend to aggregate on top of stirring bar. Therefore,  does anyone have any suggestions about how should we perform this coating? Another method for example or references that I could refer to?

I am really appreciated your help and thank you  so much.
