Generation Z and Generation Alpha have been born into a digitally saturated world wherein images, videos, animations, and cartoons, among other multimodal ensembles, are their daily diet. They live between physical and virtual worlds. Digital technology and AI have given way to diverse learning modes, and it would be odd to continue teaching such generations using only the traditional alphabetic mode.
Thank you for your question. While I can’t speak for all of Generation Z, I can share my personal perspective. I believe that early exposure to advanced technologies like AI and 3D design can spark curiosity and enhance learning among young people. Courses that allow students to create prototypes for real-world applications can be particularly effective. For instance, MIT offers an AI course, and there are also opportunities to explore education in the metaverse. Integrating these technologies into other areas of study could provide a more immersive and engaging learning experience.
