Is online submission of research papers in journals safe ? What is the guarantee that editors & referees will not steal the ideas when they review them before accepting/ publishing ?
Recently, my paper has been regretted by "Nature Physics". They have quoted that it didn't fit their scope. I don't worry about quality of my work or rejection. But I worry if editors who have seen my paper should not steal my ideas & publish it elsewhere before me.
We will have to believe the journal editors. It is not that I have not heard of stealing by Editors/Reviewers/Examiners (no proof) but such cases must be extremely rare.
I sincerely believe that 99.99% of the editors are good.

1. Keep all type of the submission record.
2. Keep plagarism report. In this report mention about the date, day and time.
3. Check the research journal and other publication authounticity.
4. Ask to many expert about the publication reputation of journal and reputation tof journal itsel take care yours online submission.
How safe is online submission of research papers ?
There are chances of such fraud, but if a person is having all the original raw data, and others records (submitted to journal/rejected emails etc) he or she can claim even after sealing of idea and publication.
