I want to purified my PEG (400 g/mol) after réaction. I converted hydroxyl group for carboxylic one by using succinc anhydride and DABCO. How to remove DABCO and SA from mixture or what can I use as a substitute of DABCO? Can I use TEA in RT condition or should I heat it?
As an alternative, I recommend to use 1-methylimidazole as catalyst:

dissolved in 5 mL of dichloromethane in a 25 mL 2-neck roundbottom

Or you can use DMAP:
Synthesis of COOH‐Terminated Polylactide (COOH‐PL)
The OH‐PL, succinic anhydride, 4‐dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), and triethylamine (TEA) were dissolved in 1,4‐dioxane and stirred overnight at room temperature. 1,4‐Dioxane was removed under a vacuum, and the residue was dissolved in chloroform and then washed with distilled water three times. After the chloroform layer separated, it was dried over anhydrous MgSO4 and filtered. The polymer was precipitated by the polymer solution being poured into an excess of methanol, filtered, and dried under a vacuum.
