Any chemical or hormonal or environmental or procedural manipulations that can help to improve the seed set when secondary/tertiary gene pool is used in crossing programme with accessions of primary gene pool. Any validated experimental proof/information in general in any crop species but in maize as a specific crop species may serve the purpose.

Arbind K. Choudhary Thanks Dr. Choudhary for providing relevant literatures. In fact, embryo rescue has used in many cases and in fact this is one of the successful tools that has been used to address the issue of post-fertilization crossing barriers. Pre-fertilization crossing barriers are still a impeding road in utilization of distant wild relatives. Any way, literatures you referred are quite useful and probably help me in many ways.
