I want to do high vacuum (10-6 mbar) sealing of a quartz tube with sulfur inside it. Further, I will heat it at temperature, 600 - 800 degree centigrade to convert it into vapor phase. Is there any nomogram of allowable pressure for quartz tube.

this increases as radius decreases and thickness increases. Quartz is quite strong and fails very slowly as opposed to other materialy.
Can anyone clarify me, why my quartz tube is bursting each time when I heat treat my sealed sulphur samples at 1000 degrees. AAny reason for that and is there any way to avoid it

Possibly a bit late, as this is years after you posted...but you could calculate the bursting pressure using Barlow's formula. There are some assumptions involved, and you need to look up the tensile strength of quartz as a function of temperature to calculate it correctly but it is a simple equation.
