Hello,
The technique of carbon capture and storage (CCS) has been a hot topic for decades due to the challenges of climate changed raised by CO2 emission.
According to the literature, CO2 can be captured and stored in deep underground, which has been achieved by some leading companies.
However, there seems to be very limited information on how much CO2 has been captured and stored and how they have been utilized in industry so far.
Does anyone have the link for information on this?
What is the practical future for the CO2 utilization?

CCS technique is not viable for small scale industries. For large scale thermal power plants or industries may adopt this technique. Although, a huge amount of CO2 is emitted into the atmosphere initially during installation of machinery for CCS.

Thanks for your reply, that is a little ironic.
As academic researchers, we only focus on publishing papers but are not aware of how the technologies are used in practical industries.
Could you provide some more resources introducing the current application status of the CCS in real industries?

The first International Energy Agency (IEA) CCS roadmap, from 2009, expected CCS projects totalling 22 GW in power generation and 170 million tons in industry by 2020. With a year remaining in 2019, CCS fell well short of these goals: only 0.4 GW in power and around 32 million tons in industry.
