How much calcium can i add to my mobile phase in a sugar column. I need to somehow block some components to see others and this is the suggested way
Two items are relevant.
First are you using an aqeous phase?
Second, does a high calcium content interfere with your column, your sample constituents or separation proces.
For an aqous phase simply check the solubility of calcium salts. For example calclium carbonate may be suitable.
