The liver in rats can be empirically divided into about 6 lobes: 1) median lobe on the top (left and right segments), 2) left lateral lobe, 3) right superior lobe, 4) right inferior lobe, and 5-6) two cordate lobes behind the stomach, just for your consideration.
Rat liver is divided into four major lobes: 1) left lobe, 2) median/cystic lobe, 3) right lateral lobe (partially divided into cranial and caudal lobes), and 4) caudate lobe.
