Actually it depends on varied criteria. For choosing the neighboring countries for higher education, the students consider the quality of education plus affordability. Added to this is the acceptability of the degree achieved. So, neighborhood is less explored compared to other factors concerned.

Hi Mohammad, thanks for your answer. Actually, I am looking for the statistics for my question. I read somewhere that it's one third or one fourth but I could not remember the exact reference.

In our (Bangladeshi) Context, the percentage of the students going to neighboring countries (India and Mayanmar) is less than one-tenth of the total number. Students usually choose China or Malaysia for higher education.
