At present in the physical education different researches have contrasted the effectiveness of programs of physical exercise to low and high intensity in schoolchildren, however at these ages the development of the aerobic component is fundamental so that already it would depend bf the objective to be developed in the students, since the lower intensity would be related to the objective to be searched (body mass control, aerobic development, among others).
On the other hand it would have to take into account the instruments to quantify the intensity of the load, however because it is problematic to have Accelerometers or heart rate monitors for all students, consequently the most economical tool and affordable is the scale of subjective perception of Borg.
It is also important to note that the intensity to be developed in the physical education class will be linked to the activities of the same, for example if games are made in confined spaces with emphasis on changes of direction the intensity tend to be elevated, while in group games the recovery would be intermittent or complete in every effort executed by the student.
Therefore, I consider that the ideal is to make a selection of the objectives to work with the students and from there propose the activities with respect to the characteristics of the group (time of the session, maturing state, medical history, among others ).
I hope you will be useful my contribution, a hug from Colombia
