We are sending emails and reminders to the editorial board for the last 3 months but there is no response from the board or publisher. What should we do now?
As a reviewer of many Scopus journals manuscripts, I have approximately four weeks to give feedback to the editor and the author(s). Usually, the editor reminds me of the due date.
In your case, to wait so long is not fair. Does the editor send it through a review process yet, or are you still waiting for an answer from the editor that your manuscript is good enough for reviewing? If the last case occurs, notify the editor you take it out of their system and send it to another journal. Even if the editor doesn't respond, as it happened, you wasted too much time.
We received the reviewers' comments and submitted the response on 24th July 2019. Originally, we submitted this paper to the journal In Nov 2018. We are confused about the unusual delay in the process after 1st revision.
After the first review of your manuscript and your improvements on their recommendations and still, no feedback is unprofessional. The delay is at the editorial office. After six months, the editor should get back to you. Make your emails urgent and say you are pressured by Faculty to publish and you need instant feedback. Hope you publish very soon. Good luck.
