Quite modern, I'd imagine, that's a fun faith, get together once a week to sing dance and pray. Except they may need sun screen or hats down there ;). Ha!! There's a Maikäfer in here some where singing not supposed come out until August! Cool beetle, Outdoors good thing.
Peter Berger is a great resource on global Pentecostalism, especially in reference to modernity:
He's contributed to a book called Global Pentecostalism in the 21st Century (ISBN 0253010861) which may help.
He addresses this issue often in his blog (www.the-american-interest.com/byline/berger/).
There are several videos on You tube of discussions that he's given on the topic.
He is also the director of the Institute on Culture, Religion, and World Affairs at Boston University, who often conducts research on this topic. You might contact them to find out a bit more.
