I have read thesis on the mechanical properties of the deposition of a thin layer of carbon from a coconut shell however, how is the hydrophobic nature of the deposition of a thin film of carbon on a glass substrate?
Please check my post elsewhere at this forum: https://www.researchgate.net/post/Why_flame_synthesized_soot_is_more_stably_adhere_at_quartz_glass_than_amorphous_glass
Give thanks to you about the recommend paper about Hydrophobic and high transparent honeycomb diamond-like carbon thin film fabricated by facile self-assembled nanosphere lithography. I can conclusion that fabrication technique called self-assembled nanosphere lithography (SANSL) combining with proper two-step reactive ion etching (RIE) method and radio frequency (RF) sputtering deposition process are suitable for manufacturing honeycomb diamond-like carbon (DLC) thin film structures with hydrophobic and high transparent properties.
I say thanks to you about your recommend paper, I have a read Processing and Characterization of Ultrathin Carbon Coatings on Glass. Sorry, whether you can explain the difference about the ultrathin film and thin film ? whether the size of thickness is different ? or maybe, structure and composition ?
I say big thaks to you about your recommend your post. But, quartz glass and amorphous glass have a difference structure crystal and how about the method to coat carbon on quartz glass and amorphous glass with RF Plasma ?
