Can anyone give an idea - how is the hydraulic circuit playing a role in the development of aquaculture / fisheries? How can the knowledge on hydraulic circuits help? Why is it important?
@Francois Clemens Thank you for your response Sir.I have an assignment work for my aquaculture course :" Role of hydraulic circuit knowledge to meet the SDG- 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8"
I know aquaculture can meet several sdgs but how hydraulic circuit can meet,i can't understand. So, firstly want to relate hydraulic circuit with the progressive aquaculture so that i can relate it with sdgs.
`Still a bit cryptical, but I understand you are referring the SDG's, so I guess an efficient use of energy and raw materials are important issues to address here. Grossly speaking this would translate back into a design of the hydraulic circuit to avoid energy losses on one hand and on the other hand to avoid 'dead zones' in which sediments can built up or even solutes can get concentrated over time. Overall one would go for a geometry that avoids sharp bends or sudden changes in hydraulic cross section. Further I can imagine that when growing fish each species will set its own demand in terms of flow velocities, oxygen concentration etc. (hence aeration, and purification are an important issues), but as I'm not a 'fish engineer' I'd better stay away from that.
Hydraulic circuit in case of Aquaculture is important because change of water is necessary for aqua farming in small scale or in laboratory of in big scale to make profit through marketing. Aquaculture need steady supply of water from reservoir. Inlet and outlet requires to maintain quality of water. Physico chemical parameters must be maintained properly. Like Temperature, Salinity, pH and DO. Food for fishes spoils environment. Filter may help to keep it clean for 3-4 days. Require partial change of water . Healthy environment will help to grow fishes in confined place. Different sizes glass aquarium and fiber aquarium may do the needful.
