The opportunity for development and self-expression is a basic urge of human things. An effective management and carrier development is to improve the intellectual and emotional abilities needed to handle greater responsibility through developmental programs, which in turn must meet the needs of the organization. Many of us simply work and play counting upon serendipitous occurrences to advance our careers and personal lives. The whole idea of setting goals seems daunting to some and restrictive to others. And, yet goals can help us become more efficient and give us a feeling of competence. Goals can motivate us to move forward and show us where forward is. Overcome the cooperatives from over all management to dream management for good governance.

I agree with dear @ kamal & krishnan. serendipity is essential for good relationship of worker/employee with management i.e. motivational theory
What happens with information and the WWW, is now also the case with humans and social networks. The ongoing digital transformation is also transforming the work organization with new co-working space where people can get in touch with other people not belonging to their company. As such I understand these new workspaces as a way to implement serendipity in human relations. One goal might be to foster innovation and creative. But this is just one hypothesis
Serendipity refers to luck that takes the form of finding valuable or pleasant things that are not looked for. If the HRM counts upon serendipity, then it is a dreaming management. Scientific thinking centralizes the cause-effect in our brains. If by chance, you get a side worthy product besides the main product then it is fine but focus is directed towards getting the envisaged product of interest in the first place.
Just as serendipity involves the unseen and unpredictable good happenings that come our way in any organisation, similarly the organisation including the people have to build up the faith in such events and conduct themselves in an orderly and good manner for which the management should encourage and set an example themselves. Simply put goodness in all activities we propose and do should be imbibed.
