if you wanna decorate ZnO nws by ultrasmall Ag NPs you can implement our method synthesis of Ag NPs, which we describe in attached work:
Article Silver nanoparticles synthesized by UV-irradiation method us...
It is much easier, low cost and easily controllable method synthesis. You can use ClT or try to do it without any modifier using a low concentration of AgNO3.
