It can be through any method either hydro thermal or sol gel or may be by precipitation method. How it also effect on yield, colour and composition of the product?
I used hydro thermal method in synthesis of doped rare earth metallic ions but i gained different products in winter and summer. Crystallization product made in winter but powder form obtained in summer.How its possible after emulsion break to get product.
The only scientific answer is ‘it depends’. Much more specific information needed to answer your question.
It depends on the material you are using and the methods itself.
The material could be sensitive to oxygen and moisture. So you can use noble gas environment. But it all depends on your material. Be more specific
I agree with Prof Rawle and Nisar answer. If you want more yield of sample you can choose sol-gel/precipitation method, or select hydro-thermal method for less amount of yield with some morphology. Again 'it depends' on what do want to study/observe/analyze.

In the theory of crystallization there is homogeneous and heterogeneous crystallization. The core (initial structure) of a crystal can be obtained without an additive and with the addition of an impurity. The role of the additive can be played by the nanoparticle of the reactor walls, the nanoparticles from the environment: pollen of plants, urban pollution ... It is possible that environmental pollution affects more in summer.
