In Triboelectrification, when we create friction between two materials(especially insulators) electrons or atoms can exchange between them. Normally it is very difficult to separate the charge or electrons from the insulators. How come simple friction can create exchange between two materials.?
Because ``simple friction'' does imply producing the (eletrical) forces that can supply the work required.
To the best of my knowledge, this is not a well understood phenomenon yet. Rubbing does not move electrons or ions, it merely increases the contact area, in which there occurs adhesion, mutual diffusion, or other weak chemistry. I guess, you know much more about that.
