Specific capacitance (F/g) should be independent of electrolyte mass-the super-capacity (Faradic or Non-Faradic) is a surface phenomena of EDLC formation at electrode electrolyte interface. Here charge separation is at atomic/ionic scales leading to super-capacity-formed at each half-cell. More-so the EDLC phenomena gets amplified due to roughness of electrodes giving effective large surface area. Thus perhaps only electrode mass be considered for specific capacitance.

Yes Sir, specific capacitance is independent of electrolyte mass, rather it depends on the active carbon electrode mass. So my question was how should we account the active electrode mass to calculate the sp.cap. (F/g), if we take the whole mass of the active carbon electrode material, the value will not be absolute anyway as the ions from the solid polymer electrolyte won't be diffused inside the carbon electrode material except by few nanometers.

There then needs be diffusion length estimation-that has to come into calculation of F/g?

Since the at the electrode-electrolyte interface we cannot measure the charge separation distance and the diffusion lengths etc. ; perhaps good way is to have relative comparison of electrolytes. With using same dimensions and weights of electrode material, one may do experimental evaluation to get value specific capacity (F/g) for different electrolytes. The electrolyte that gives higher specific capacitance will have lower charge separation at the interface. This way perhaps will be useful in characterizing polymer electrolytes.

Yes Sir, that's what we are doing now. But are there any ways to calculate this diffusion length i.e. upto what length ions are getting diffused, then we can say what is the absolute value of the sp. cap. ?
