Can any one give the details of polymerization chain reactions in gelcasting with the combinations of methacrylamide, MBAM, APS, and TEMED during chemical gelation and the other one is methacrylamide, MBAM and APS during thermal gelation.
please set the problem exactly. The monomers and ths intiator you mentioned polymerize readily by a polyaddition process without any problem. So, ould you please clarify more the question. Regards
I have answered the question on the chain reaction when I said a polyaddition polymerization, and this is more details. A polyaddition polymerization is a 4 steps process, and these steps are: Initiation, propagation, transfer, and termination. In the case of a copolymerization, there is a decisive factor which enters into consideration, which is the reactivity ratio, which is a parameter that reflects the reactivity of both (or all) monomers relative to their addition to themselves or to the other monomer(s). This reactivity ratio is determined experimentally via many methods where the Kelen-Tüdos one is the most efficient one. Regards
