There is a proposal concerning the change of Northwest University's name to Yusuf Maitama Sule University. Presently, this is giving the students especially the pioneer students with certificate reading the name NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY sleepless night because they may end up being the only set with this name on their certificates. Presently, the staff are silent concerning the issue as an attempt to avoid partisan politics.
