How does temperature affects the refractive index of solid crystal?

I found many people used this formula on the website :n(r)=n0[1-Q/(4Kn0) (dn/dT) r2] but no one gave the reference about it. Is there anyone know the function of temperature of the solid RI or the reference of the formula?
