Self-awareness is an important factor in effective leadership in the digital age. Leaders who are self-aware are better able to understand their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of their team members. This allows them to make better decisions and lead more effectively. Organizations can use this knowledge to enhance leadership development by providing training and coaching that focuses on developing self-awareness in leaders.

It is of my experience that strong self-awareness allows leaders to better be able to acknowledge their own personal strengths and weaknesses. By acknowledging these personal areas, individual leaders can better identify areas that require growth and development. Self-awareness ultimately affects self-reflection.

I agree with your summary Pramila Thapa . Not only are their many areas of self-awareness (personality preference, emotional intelligence, our ego drivers, our values, our senses - 5+, how we learn, etc). However, that is just the first step. To become a great leader, that has to be followed by self-management (eg. how we manage our ego), awareness of others (eg. empathy) and how we manage relationships.
