These days there are many new good journals which haven't got their impact factor yet (like Nature Energy, ACS Omega etc). So I was wondering is it possible to know their "Expected Impact Factor" ? or is it possible to foresee any journal's future impact factor by looking at its current trend?
I would be obliged for the inputs provided to my question.

Yes, it is possible to expect a journal's upcoming impact factor using two databases: ISI Web of Science (directly) and SCOPUS (indirectly).
- For ISI, Clarivate Analytics provides a calculation of the prospective IF for each journal. However, you need subcribtipn access to view such metrics.
- For SCOPUS, CiteScore is another citation metric that correlates also to IF so an increasing citescore would reflect increasing IF. SCOPUS has a function called "CiteScore Tracker" which calculates the upcoming CiteScote based on the currect year citations. Check this link for example:
