I am currently writing a code to incorporate contact between two bodies using node to segment contact elements. Results obtained using my code for displacement and nodal contact forces shows good accuracy with abaqus results. But I am not able to figure out what is the theory/scheme abaqus is using to compute nodal contact pressure using nodal contact forces.

A insight or text reference for the same will be very helpful.
