The microorganisms applied through foliage ( usually called phyllosphere) act the same way they are inoculated into rhizosphere and layer get entry into roots ( endsophere) as endophytes . In either case , those microbes finding entry into leaf tissues are considered more more competent and compatible and , therefore, impart much higher magnitude of plant growth promotion as well as safeguards against diseases...
Yes, I agreed with Dr. Anooo sir. Definitly foliar application is recommended for associative nitrogen or else other nutrients. It make association through estblishing relationship between microorganism and plant cell as mutual basis. Root nodulating biofertilizers should applied as seed treatment. Regards
I do not see any evidence that the microbes in the liquid biofertilizers sprayed on the phyllosphere reaching the roots and other internal parts of plants. It is a great question how the P, K, and Zinc solubilizing microbes working when sprayed on the leaves. If anybody has any publication that can be cited to extend my/our knowledge on liquid biofertilizers. But personally, I observed that liquid biofertilizers working comparatively well and I do not know whether it is due to some growth hormones along with unused nutrients present in the preparatory medium.
