I got an email from someone I do not know saying my name is on her conference presentation. How do I remove it? We have the same first initial and last name (although now she has a different last name).
This is a common problem, please politely respond that you are not the intended author. I know a researcher with same First and Last name, we have discussed and resolved the issue.
Is this presentatiion at ResearchGate? Then you may open the entry and use the Edit function. Once you are given as author, the entry is connected to your account and you have the possibility to request author changes. Click on the arrow next to the "Share" button, then open "Edit" and request a change in the "Authors" field. The redactors of RG will do the change. Also the real author may click on the same arrow and use the "Request authorship" function.
