I am a social researcher and often I stay with the tribals in their village into the forest or uphills. During this time I lead a life like them an take food in their home and sleep in their house for building a good rapport and also getting valuable, relevant and actual information. I always believe in participatory learning.
But now I am unable to protect myself as here I don't have soap to wash my hand and I am near a desert so the water is also not available. So I am using the local sollution which contains nearly 60 % alcohol as a sanitiser and also spreading the knowledge among the villagers to have a protected life.
Note- It is Illegal to brew alcohol in home, but in this situation, we have No Other Option.
So far, extremely negatively. Both universities I am working at have moved all courses online for the remaining 3 weeks of classes which doubled my workload. Another issue is the inability to collect data from student subjects. I will be relying on mTurk instead.
Alexander Serenko its quiet chanellaging for researchers and scholars at this period looking at basic studies that require data gathering and content grouping both for lecturers and student i believe there is a break through sooner
Probably, it will be a very good time for me to sit down to read papers, look through and organize the data I have been done in the lab, and also writing papers if possible. Because all of these are part of 'researches'.
As anecdotal evidence, I just heard from a colleague that copyeditors are now extremely busy and overworked - looks like all academics are now finishing off their papers and submitting them. I think it applies to me too...
Good morning Dear, answering your question, I have kept my research papers in the same house. What do you think of writing together? Especially in this very unusual and different period. I await your reply. Thank you very much and stay well!
In this difficult stage we are experiencing, I feel that the motivation to work is weak, even though I have a lot of research in progress, but I feel a weak ability to complete this research. Despite my belief in the need to continue and complete this researches.
Good morning darling, yes, i believe it is very pertinent to exchange information about the influence of COVID 19 in our research. Thank you very much and I look forward to your initial ideas.
Rosângela de França Bail exchange of information is vital but i believe these period have seen more online networking among researcher worldwide all in the efforts of increasing Knowledge
Manal Hadi Kanaan you are sure in right tune motivation to carry out research this period is of great essence . however, a close monitoring of events will increase motivation in coming weeks due to most economy lock down
Rosângela de França Bail i also believe writting together in this period will be lots of fun and knoweldge bearing by taking various sides of research peer review.
Emad Kamil Hussein Emad Kamil Hussein Emad Kamil Hussein i agree with you about staying safe at home of course a precautionary measures however dont you thinks one can make the best time of research while staying at home?
RG at their FB page surveying thousands of researchers to learn how #COVID19 is impacting their work. You can left your comment there, they will share survey results next week
Although I am very much concern regarding my research , but when I try to engage in research work , suddenly thoughts of people dying every time count flashing in my mind .
That demotivate me , every day I wake up , I consider myself luckiest person on the earth but same time lots of people around world dying .
Although doing research we are contributing a world better place to live, but somehow we are not able to unlock the pattern of nature .
Still I am alive & I will make sure I will do edge cutting research so that people , society and world get benefited and a better place to live .
Good afternoon, we could exchange various information about the difficulties and confrontation of CIVID 19, in each of our countries. What do you think of this? Thank you
Well am a researcher from University of Nigeria Nsukka in Nigeria.
With the growing development of new case of covid-19 which have led to total shut down of universities activities.
One of the difficulties to researchers in Nigeria is the limitations place on gathering due to social distancing that has limited peer review and research discussion in various discpline.
Discpline conference are now postpone and government has restricted Grant to university staff to conduct research due to the covid-19 impact which has affected the economy.
Good morning darling, I believe so, as numerous vaccines are being tested worldwide. But, in fact, the disease is still very young and even health researchers are unaware of the reality of the virus. But let's hope that we are soon out of this stressful time. Thanks
Era esse tema q queria pesquisar com vc, mas com outra perspectiva metodológica.
Estou lutando como uma mulher durante essa pandemia. Pesquisa, docência, trabalho remoto e aulas EAD da filhota. Esperando o nova atualização do mundo.
I will like to add to this discussion, 'How does one collect data from a population that was once together on a university campus but is now dispersed to various locations by the Covid-19 lockdowns?' Without having to redesign the whole research project, what ideas can you share for data collection and analysis?
