I intend to use casein micelles as nanovehicles for the delivery of a hydrophobic compound, by emulsifying the compound solution into a caseinate solution and then adding the salts to reassemble the micelles (According to Semo et al., 2007 and Zimet et al., 2011).

I know that I have to dilute my pure casein powder in a sodium hydroxide solution in order to obtain the sodium caseinate, but I'm not sure about the conditions to do that, such as NaOH concentration and temperature.

Can anybody help me with this, please?

Thanks
