Hey there,
has someone used FIJI Image J Tackmate before and could give me some advice on altering automated tracks? I'm trying to determine swimming speed of larvae. Trackmate detects the larvae but looses track of them a lot, so that I end up with literally 1000s of tracks which are actually only a few (approx. 20). How do you connect individual short tracks into one long tracking event? Your help would be much appreciated!

Hi Katharina, have you tried changing the "settings for Tracker"? If you increase the linking max distance, the gap-closing max distance and the "gap-closing max frame gap" you might be able to connect the tracks.

thank you for your advice! I have switched to the manual tracker, which is a bit more time consuming (unfortunately) but I get results, which I trust.
