I have this image to depict a GBA analysis. As usual, I have positive associations in red and negative association in green. Recently, we submitted this image as part of a manuscript for publishing and they asked if we could change the scale from red-to-green to red-to-blue for colorblind people.
I guess, the easy way would be to go back to the data and generate a new graph with the new color scale, but I don't have access to the original data nor am I a bioinformatician, so I was wondering if there was a way to do this using a program for image editing like Photoshop, that could be used for this and also how to do it?
I have uploaded a screenshot of the image without the axis legends.
Any help will be most appreciated.
Simply exchange the green layer with the blue layer. You won't need sophisticated software for that. For instance, the lightweight and free image editor IrfanView (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IrfanView, https://www.irfanview.com/) does this simply with selecting the menu item Image / swap colors / RGB -> RBG.

Using Photoshop here is considerably more complicated. You have to change the image to multi-channel, then exchange the channels, then convert it back.
If you have R, there is a one-liner that exchanges the channels in a .jpg file (the library "jpeg" must be installed and loaded):
writeJPEG(readJPEG(file)[ , , c(1,3,2)], file)
where "file" is the name of the file to be changed. To change all the jpg files in the working directory automatically, one can run
sapply(dir(patter=".jpg"), function(file) writeJPEG(readJPEG(file)[ , , c(1,3,2)], file))
Another very simple approach is by using ImageJ (Fiji). You can simply drag a picture and then go e.g. to "Image -> Color -> Replace Red with Magenta"
