There would be some level of acceptance. Knowledge of robotics are gradually being exposed to children, though majority of school children have not seen nor interacted with robots. Introducing robotic teachers would have positive response if practical sessions, awareness, exhibitions are made to precede full implementation of robotic teaching; this would afford children basis to accept, demystify and get familiarized with such systems.
Well, teaching is a task that requires dexterity. It is not a storetype thing, it requires that the teacher take into consideration the inadequacies of every individual pupil in the classroom while delivering his/her lessons. Hence, the teachers' concern on the child's circumstance affects learning, inview of this, robots lack the ability to instantaneously respond to a child's sudden behavioral change hence; every child is unique in all ramification. Finally, robots are robots because they are garbage in garbage out. It cannot go beyond it's programmed duties but a Human teacher can do.
Respected Denis, children will respond enthusiastically to everything, that does not resemble to parents. Children of 21st century, around the globe, do love robots, Etabs , androids, more than human beings.
I believe that the children of my nation will not react to robotic teachers in a positive serious way. I expect that they will consider them as toys & they will try to take them apart in order to see how they start working or how they stop working (out of curiosity !).
Of course, the class's discipline is expected to vanish if the classroom contains just the robotic teacher & the pupils.
A robotic teacher will not , supposedly, act as a mentor so the pupils will become more like machines or tools with an anticipated lack of common sense.
