I have a signal I would like to pass through the WT. I am very much interested in detecting the singularity in the signal but I found peaks at the edge.
The best way is to have a much longer signal, so that the edge artifacts won't contaminate the part of the result you are interested in. That's not always possible, though. Otherwise, you can reflect the data. This works by creating a backwards version of the signal, putting it at the beginning and end of the real signal, perform wavelet convolution, then chop off the added parts.
