From time to time, I read articles from various sources which indicate that the general public is not interested or engaged with science (see a recent article below). There are many surveys on this topic with varying outcomes. How can this be when science and technology is so much into people's day-to-day life? It also raises the question of what more can we or should we be doing to increase public interest and engagement with science? Are there issues with public perception of science that we should be addressing?
