Hello everyone,
I am trying to prepare curvature map in ArcGIS 10.4, using spatial analyst tool. I am using 10 m CartoDem (projected in UTM 44N). I am getting very different value, curvature value range from -1 to +1, but my output is:
High- 985.92
low- - 1481.52
I used SAGA, QGIS also, but getting same value in these software.
Could anybody help me in this.

ArcGIS - The units of the curvature output raster, are one hundredth (1/100) of a z-unit. The reasonably expected values for a curvature raster for a hilly area (moderate relief) can vary from -0.5 to 0.5; while for steep, rugged mountains (extreme relief), the values can vary between -4 and 4.
SAGA - No one knows! It comes up often. https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/216666/calculating-curvature-in-saga. This is the best SAGA resource.
You need to ensure the veritical units are matching the horizontal in ArcGIS. If you post your DEM Ill take a look.
