I have a fundamental question related to the movement of a particle and wave.
I understand that both particles and waves are entirely different and independent. However, how do they behave just after the shock wave (a detonation wave maybe)?
If you wholly zoom in and see both particles and waves just after the shock wave, will they behave completely independently or move towards the shock?

I believe the answer to your question must lie in the expansion-streaming flow that follows a shock wave as it propagates. A particle is in that flow and a wave is of that flow. Therefore their responses will be quite different, but each will be affected by the flow which is in the direction of the departing shock wave. That "a wave" would be present immediately behind the shock means it survived the shock wave passage, or was induced by it, perhaps by a particle that the shock wave accelerated.
The inertia of the particle will cause fluid motion around it as it is accelerated to streaming velocity. A wave will propagate in the moving fluid and its wave velocity will be added to the streaming flow, including non-linearity in the velocity "addition," if it is present. Either calculation would prove interesting!
