I get a lot of 3D materials cif files from the http://www.crystallography.net/cod/index.php 。Now I want to calculate the properties when the 3d materials are cut into 2d platforms（e.g.the （001）plane），but I don't know how to do this。Maybe there would be some scripts that can slove this problem。

You can accomplish this using VESTA software. You can follow this nice self content tutorial to understand the process of transforming 3d crystal structures into 2D slabs with desired crystal faced exposed.
