How do I stain my MCF-7 spheroids for live-dead assay?

I have been trying to stain my spheroids for live-dead assay with Calcein-AM and Propidium Iodide and the spheroids are either not taking up the stain or they are breaking apart. I need help finding a protocol that I can use for live-dead assay.
