I am working on a project to simulate, fabricate and characterize PPLN waveguide by reverse proton exchange with an aim of achieving a more efficient waveguide for application possibly in integrated optics. However, I am seeking for the most appropriate way to do the simulation and calculations of waveguide dimensions. I will appreciate any links to previous examples.
The team of Jean Emmanuel Broquin in Grenoble (l’Institut de Microélectronique,
Electromagnétisme et Photonique – LAboratoire d’Hyperfréquences et Caractérisation) is one of the most recognize in this area. First, we have to simulated the refractive index change induces by the proton exchange and to put in a mode solver in order to calculate effective index and profil of the mode.
