Assume that you have two batches of 20 nm and 60 nm Au nanospheres, what is your selection of size for their potential use as contrast or therapeutic agent in biomedical applications?
The larger nanoparticle will disperse more light than the smaller one. The smaller nanoparticle will absorb most of the incoming light.
Which wavelength(s) are you using in the case of contrast applications and in the case of therapeutic applications?
Smaller nanopaticles have more surface area and exposing more atom on the surface for interaction.Smaller one will be better.
