I received a full-text request through RG and clicked the link from the RG email and it brought me to a prompt where I was forced to either agree to publicly post the paper for everyone to see, or decline the request, with an option to post it privately for only the authors to view. This is not how I remember full-text requests working in the past. I have previously responded to full-text requests by sending the text to the requestor directly (without posting it publicly for everyone). There is an important difference between sending the pdf to one person versus posting it publicly online. Again, there was no visible option for "send private copy".
