I am working on ASPEN simulation for an OSN membrane which requires pressure to be set at 30bars but my exit stream from the pump is giving a very high temperature at the same pressure and low discharge flow rate
You should also note that Aspen assumes an efficiency for the pump. I believe the assumed efficiency is 75%. The pump is adiabatic so the waste heat of pumping goes into the stream being pumped. If you know the actual pumping efficiency you can enter the known efficiency. Aspen is intended for large systems where heat losses to the environment are trivial. For small systems, with large surface area relative to the flows, you may have to add heater blocks with exiting heat streams representing the heat losses to the environment.
