I am looking to perform principal component analysis (PCA), based on daily gridded raster datasets (7 different climate variables) between 1985 and 2015. I was hoping to take each daily dataset and create an average for, say, an entire year, or even for a season of time. However, it would take a lot of work and time, using the Raster Calculator tool, to come up with an average raster for that length of time.
Would it be possible to automate a task like this, using ModelBuilder within ArcMap? Or would there be another way of doing this? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
Of course we can automate these tasks! Look at the python script in bold italics font. I saved a list of rasters in a folder called 'RASTERS' in my computer's E drive and ran the python script in ArcMap. It makes use of the 'CELL STATISTICS -Mean' from the 'Spatial Analyst' Extension. See if it works.

If it appears that you want to try an open source software so as to solve your problem, you could try the QGIS processing tool Raster calculator. It can perform the work as batch processing :))

Would be possible you share your model, In my data set, there are 20 years of daily data, some of which contain a lot of Nodata. But I want to calculate the average of the values (for example, there is a place where the data from 2002 to 2005 is Nodata, and the data from 2005 to 2015 is valid). What should I do?

Go to spatial analyst tools/local/cell statistic then right click on the tool and choose Batch from the appearing window this will allow you to enter all the rasters you want and copy/paste the names easily (see the attached picture).
