I am a novice with image processing, learning the threads of image process. segmentation and analysis in Medical domain- esp MEG, MRI. I am right now focusing on image conversion, basically to have a heads up on different open source softwares.
I am looking for help and guidance about a feature software that converts .nii images to .dcm. or any particular instruction that can be used in matlab to convert the .nii to .dcm.

It is very straight forward to do this in Mango

It is important to keep in mind though, that the NIFTI header is much simpler than the dicom header, so many of the elements in the dicom header will be empty if you do this.
Matlab has had the function niftiread, since R2017b, in the image processing toolbox.

Once you have the data in Matlab you can can use the routine dicomwrite to create the dicom file (this also requires the image processing toolbox)
